Hello fellow fighters of this hideous disease. I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer in 2011 & felt like i was on deaths row, just waiting for the inevitable.

BUT i wanted to say thank you to all that make this site possible because it was here i found information on Lutetium 177. I tried radiation & it came back, then one injection of Luprin, then 2 months on casodex & temoxin but could not go to chemo, the ADT was enough to turn me off life altogether.

Two weeks ago the latest Pet psma scan shows no tumors in my body & the last Lutetium i had was in December 2018. So my 6 year old has a dad for years to come.

Thank you Darryl & all that contribute or learn from this site once again & thank you MR Lutetium.

Something to think about is the fact that in Germany they do not administer Chemotherapy now, just Lutetium or similar, or so i was told.

That is wonderful news.

I so wish the US would catch up with Germany on this treatment as we would so much prefer not to have chemo to get Lutetium. Also not to have to travel so far.

Hope you have a long, healthy life.

More proof that if one drug doesn't work, the next one might just have a spectacular response! May you have a long and healthy remission, or better yet, an unlikely cure!

Congratulations! That was a great response. I hope it lasts for years and years.

Please do continue to get regular PSA tests because there are probably some tumor cells still around and they can start growing again. However just as Lu-177 was a success for you, other brand new treatments are now coming out and I'm hoping we will keep seeing new, effective treatments that extend remissions for years and years, and ultimately end the threat of prostate cancer.

Best of luck for the future.

Alan

I am so glad to hear of your success and more time with your daughter. We are also considering early intervention with Lu-177.
