Does anybody have a source to buy Abiraterone?

We currently buy the Glenmark brand from India at a cost of $470 for two bottles (240 tablets) including shipping.

If anybody has a cheaper and still reliable source please do share.

I live in Bombay, India. At the moment, I too am using ABIRAPRO from Glenmark Pharma.

It costs me INR 10,000/ for 120 tablets. That is USD 143/- for 120 tablets.

Therefore, my cost works out to USD 286/- for 240 tablets, whereas you are paying USD 470 for the same. BUT, you are getting it in the US and so other costs have to be considered like shipping, import duty, courier charge, etc.

I think you are getting a very good deal. Far more important for me would be the EFFICACY of the tablets. Cheers !!

Hi, we are in the UK.

Shipping should not cost $200. So it is not a good deal.

Can you send me the link to where you are getting yours please? :)

I don't buy it online. My MO's recommend a source to me and I call the guy, show him the prescription and he delivers to my home after a day or two (maximum). Payment by cheque or credit card.

Thanks to J&J co-pay assistance Zytiga costs me $10. This is because I am on Commerical insurance. BUT I just turned 66 so am investigating going on Medicare Part B , D &G. BUT am concerned about cost. Cheapest Part D I could find in $15k year for Zytiga.

I think you go into catastrophic coverage after you spend 5000$ so then it goes down to about 100$ per month.

I would still check with J&J. They can tell you within 5 minutes whether or not you will qualify. Have your tax return handy- they will ask for lines 7, 5b, 5a.

Can you keep your current insurance?

We started Medicare last year. My husband has AARP United Health Care for Medicare Part D using Walgreens.

The estimates for that plan were

1st month $3,400 then $535 per month until December (he started Zytiga in May).

For the generic, it was

First 3 months $1,100-1,200, then $100 until December.

Another specialty pharmacy quoted $2215 per month.

Try J&J
