I started Fenben (hookworm med) on May 14th/2019 before I decided to take a "BIRM holiday"(on June 20th/2019).
I Wanted to see if the Fenben (Joe's Protocol) would have any measurable effect on it's on. Wasn't on long enough for last PSA (which went up slightly from 2.39 to 2.69) to show any grand effects. I can't wait to see my next one which is next Friday. Since being on the Fenben only I have actually felt much better overall. But I have also been using Indomethacin during this time....25 mg/twice daily.
it's a balancing act...trying to feel good, enjoy life, and eat what I love (and eat well) I have started monitoring portions and although my oncologist says I do NOT need to lose weight...I have managed to drop about 9 pounds. My clothes fit better and this might be why I feel better. I always (B.C.-before cancer) counted my "fighting weight" to be 175. I've been weighing 195ish now since before I was diagnosed in 2014. I'm down to 187ish now. Hoping to get down to 184ish before our holiday which starts in middle of August (for 5 weeks). ~~I plan to eat my way across the U.S.A. ....LOL. with my new restraint on portions.
**Also finding that my daily "date" with Mr. Osaki~~my new Osaki Zero Gravity Massage chair~~is making me feel so good. I'm amazed at what happens when I do 3 (20 minutes) sessions...one after the other every afternoon around 2 pm. It's like I have something amazing to look forward to all morning....it feels amazing during...and then I am "transformed" afterwards for the rest of the day. **Pic is of me(before weight loss) with "Mr. Osaki" as I have named him. Best money I have spent in years. I kept postponing because I was afraid it would be a waste...or I wouldn't "live long enough" to get my money's worth. I've had him about 2 months ...and within 2 weeks I got my money's worth! My only regret...I should have bought him sooner!

tee hee...you have me in hysterics! I like the (I believe it was the Duchess of Windsor's) old saying..."you can never be too rich, or too thin"....LOL.
At 5'9"....and I was 195 lbs...I was about 25 pounds into being overweight....I figure if I drop 10...I'll be at a comfortable "overweight" place...that's according to BMI, of course.
I actually always had people guess I weighed at least 20 pounds less than I do..so I must have heavy bones...muscles(used to be...they are fading)
Im 5'7 and weighed 220 at my top weight. When i dropped 20 lbs i noticed a difference, tying boots etc. Then i just started losing weight over the winter, felt nauseous alot and throwing up occasionally. Lost anothe 25 and feel better. Docs blame the weight loss on on a 43 yearold hernia. Im thinking its the Xtandi.
My math says you got down to 175 lbs. That sounds like a weight that would make you feel better...however you got there. Every body's body is different. We each know when we feel our best. Of course now for me, on Lupron, I never feel too good, but I do feel more flexible and comfortable in clothes with just my 10 pound loss.
Love the carpets on the floor too. Take care and enjoy Mr Osaki. I have one at home too but hardly get on it due to work commitments and simply sometimes just forget that its in the room...hahaha strange!
Cool that you are feeling better overall! Does it mean that somehow Birm was not giving you anymore the same well being or that Febendazole +indomethacin are a better substitute for you now?
Hi John, Used to go to a dentist that had two of those chairs to relax patients before the drill. Really enjoyed them and nice that you do, too.
Currently we are in the middle of our long road trip to Minnesota and it's really hot here. Close to 90 today and that is not what I hoped for. Hope it changes soon.
Hi John....looking very relaxed in your new chair!!! Happy to hear it's making you feel better... Also, keep us posted on the Fenben,... My husband is interested in getting it. Do you take anything else?
I'm sure he's cool. So far what I've been doing is a "hit" of CBD oil about 15 minutes before and I'm in la la land.....he takes me places I've never been.
