My husband is obviously exhausted from waking numerous times during the night, does anyone know if the ProstaGenix product Larry King promotes is legit? Have any of you tried it? Dr. Dudley Danoff is behind the product. Flomax is not an option as it gave him debilitating side effects and didn't help.
Thanks for any advice.

Try a different alpha blocker - there are probably a dozen of them. Rapaflo worked for me. Take before bed. What kind of side effects? Orthostatic hypotension is common but goes away after a few days.
Loss of appetite, weight loss, dizziness, headache, tooth problems, weakness, and I think a few more but that was a couple of years ago so I don't remember them all. He went off and all of those things resolved. Docs pretty much describe it as an 'allergy' just so it won't be prescribed a second time.
You would want an Indica strain, and a strain with high cbn as found in aged indica flowers or shake ( cbn , not speaking of cbd or the , thc-a , thc. Complex ) A lot of mischaracterization currently happens in mj flowers so try a single indica test gram of several different strains to see what works best for you. Decarb it , powder it in one those cheesy mini grinders, mix it into cookies or brownies mix and eat it right before bed time. Takes an hour or usually more to hit and lasts a long time.ask your medical mj clinic , they should know exactly what you need.
I’ve lived with the same pee problem over two years now . This was a great improvement for me . I had tubes and a foley for a year and more . During that time my only prayer was to be able to pee half way normal without brutal pain . Got my wish . So I pee 5-6 times per night and uncountable trips in the day . To pee or not to pee . Believe you me . It’s better to pee a lot than not at all . Catch 22 is drink more water . Don’t get dehydrated . We live in the desert . If I don’t make a conscious effect to hydrate I feel bad fast .. Urologist told me “ we are just plumbers”. That’s after she put tubes in my Kidneys .. Be glad that he CAN pee.. It is worse at night ,every time I pee I wake up and rush to pee then nightsweats ,then cold ..repeated every night since I got the tubes out . The interrupted sleep pattern does take a toll . Take care .
There is a wealth of information available,,,however in my experience over the years, most medical professionals, Urologist in particular have not a clue,,,,suggesting that many men can be helped substantially by elimination of any and all spicy or acidic foodstuffs,,,,yes that includes wine,,,from one’s diet.
These substances for those in the know,,can be terribly irritating to the bladder, thereby creating spasms falsely signaling the brain that I am full here and have to pee, when in fact the bladder has very little urine in it.
A common disorder found only in women,,,yea right,,,is known as interstitial cystitis. Why is it only found in women you ask? It is because when a man has a peeing problem, most,,,not all, but most Urologist will attribute it to BPH and treat for that,,,most treatments you likely prefer not to hear of the details. This is basically a breakdown of the protective lining of the bladder that allows these irritating substances to spasm the bladder,,,that is the short story.
The long and short of it,,try eliminating acidic and spicy food and drink from you diet for a week or so. Does not cost a dime to do so.
The internet is replete with listings of those foods to eliminate in your trial. Other substances such as caffeine and alcohol would be included to eliminate. No one said this would be pleasant.
My urologist prescribed Desmopressin acetate 0.1 mg, one tablet before bed. It cut the frequency from about 6X to 3X a night and I haven't noticed any side effects (except for sleeping better).
THC oil has made a huge difference ib my life. It improves flow and lowers frequency as well as helping with a restful sleep. I make my own and I never know how strong it is, so I have to determine the appropriate dosage. I do this in part by determining the dosage that associated with only one night time wake up,call. Of course this isn’t rocket science and sometimes, I have to get up twice but in general THC oil has made a huge improvement in my QOL.
I really sympathize with your pee problem; it really wrecks a good night's sleep. I got an idea from an ad for some prostate health product, I can't remember which one: but one of their main ingredients was pumpkin seed extract. I started eating a couple of handfuls of raw organic pumpkin seeds daily. They are available (lightly salted) from Costco. They made a good healthy snack and gradually my bladder capacity seemed to improve. I have tried going on and off the regimen with corresponding increases/decreases in trips to the restroom, or nearby bush in an "urgent" situation. It is not science, but I went from around 4-5 trips per night to 1-2. When I am faithful to my juicing routine in the AM, that also seems to help. I will add the old saw....exercise really helps too, but it is hard for me to do, every muscle and joint in my body argues with me, every time. I am getting better a little each day....hope and positive attitude!
I keep a Tropicana OJ plastic jug at bedside ( has an easy to remove and put back on large top and jug opening ) . I have to pee a lot and sleep with a complex cpap mask set up. Getting up would be a difficult situation. After a while you use it automatically.... I fill mine up every night and never even remember doing it. Dump it in the toilet the next day, rinse it out and put a little iso alcohol in it and it’s ready for the next night. Becomes instinctive after a short while.
I just roll over to the edge of the bed where I keep the jug and use it laying on my side, don’t have to get up at all ... never had an accident as well. Seems like I empty much better laying on my side rather than standing up too. I have to keep two jugs handy , I can completely fill one a night sometimes.
Smart man..... except you must NOT use a Tropicana OJ jug, since some of their orange juice is imported, you must only use a Florida's natural's jug (all domestic juice).😁 Make America Drink America Again👍✔👌
