Hello I have a question my dad‘s urologist doesn’t seem to want to offer him the treatment of xofigo I’m wondering why that is he does have Mets to the bone humerus bone in femur bone but he says that it’s because he’s not in that much pain so any ideas or thoughts on the reason why he wouldn’t put my dad on Xofigo

I understand it shouldn’t be given in people taking zytiga but I asked about doing that before the pills and doc kept saying he’s not complaining of a lot of pain my dad didn’t complain cause he’s scared to so I guess he should have been whining maybe then we would. Have tried it?

1. There could be good reasons. You have to ask.
2. For a doc, each new drug is a learning experience for the doc and also their team. It is a major learning investment. If your doc doesn't have experience using it, you don't want them getting that experience from you. If your doc is limiting themselves to tried and true medications, get a second opinion.
