Mitoxantrone Side Effects

Hello

Has anyone out there been treated with Mitoxantrone chemotherapy an older drug?

They're wanting to give my husband this one and I'm kind of worried because he was severely anemic on Wed. and had to be given 2 units of blood and plus they gave him a Procrit injection because his HGB was 7.5,HCT was 24.1, and RBC was 2.57.

I'm so scared of what it might do to him.

Just was wondering if anyone else has received this drug.

I knew a man who did very well on it. He got good pain palliation from it and had fewer side effects than with taxanes.

He hasn't had any pain whatsoever with it yet. He's just had a few achy backs.
