Update on halting treatment.... So far so good..... I feel about the same as I did prior to the Lupron injection... I see a pcp in June... I will see how I'm feeling and decide if I want to do labs... As long as I can maintain my ability to get the things done that I have to do I'll put off treatment.... I've informed the oncology dept that I will under no circumstances partake in hormone therapy ever again, so chemo is what they are advising.... I will probably opt for taxotere and try to hold off on that until the 1st of the year..... It surely has been a wild ride so far and I'm sure it will get wilder yet..... Live long and prosper.....

Update on halting treatment
I read your earlier post and found it extremely interesting indeed. I support your decision whatever it is. After all, it is YOUR life.
Please do keep posting as to what you are doing and how it worked out. Yours is a one in a million case, without any doubt.
Cheers, Barry123456. Enjoy life.
Thank you.... I think.... Just kidding.. I will update periodically.... So far I've been able to get by without any kind of pain meds though I have arthritis in my hands that make life difficult.... As of now I take nothing directly related to the cancer... Will see how the summer goes... Again thanks and remember.... Wherever you go.... There you are.
I would have really liked to have met you for just 30 minutes and spoken to you, if it were possible. You are just too interesting a person, imho. However, I am in Bombay, India and you are in the US ??
No, not to convince you of anything. Just to figure out why you think the way you do. I love non-conformists. Perhaps, because I tend to be that way myself.
All the very best, Barry123456. Decide for yourself. DECIDE WELL. Cheers !!!
Yeah.... I turned down the 'most interesting man in the world' commercials so I could concentrate on my passion.... Catching flying squirrels.... Lol.... Cheers to you as well
Soooo, a sense of humor as well ?? That will serve you in good stead, going forward
All the best, Barry123456.
Barry your choice; your decision. Good luck.
Me? Stage 4 at age 57 with PSA at 32.4. Got very aggressive with systemic treatment. Able to stop Lupron/Eligard in 2010. Today - age 72 and PSA at <0.1.
BTW, current research indicates that hormone therapy during chemotherapy kills more of the little bastards.

Enjoy.
