This a cohort study of 87 patients treated with abiraterone and prednisone. They did not find major cardiovascular problems except for worsening of previous hypertension.

The median patient age was 75 years. 2/3 of these men had at least 1 pre-existing CVD.

Given the dates of the study, and the 15.8% crude 6-month post-abiraterone mortality rate, I infer that most or all of these men had quite advanced mCRPC, and that many of those deaths were due to the cancer.

I can't get to the full article, but the snippet doesn't appear to make any claim that these results are statistically significant. It appears to be a pitch for funding a new study.
