HPN 424 (Harpoon) Trial

I know of 1 person starting this immunotherapy trial. Has anyone on this site been participating in it? I am resistant to Xtandi and chemo (taxotere and cabazitaxel) no longer working. Looking for that last hope.

ADT Failed for me...I’m at Duke and am currently 2/3 through my Provenge treatment .. I the doctors at Duke, they are the best !

One thing I would recommend, it is getting a catheter /Port . I tried doing it via IV,it was quite a hassle and eventually had to go ahead and get a port. It’s a very quick outpatient procedure . The advantages you have no mobility issues while you’re getting the treatment and there is a much higher possibility that the procedure of filtering the blood is quicker and more successful . The only disadvantages is you have two 2 inch tubes and caps hanging out of your chest and they must be cleaned and the bandage change every seven days

I also did Provenge 2 years ago. It was much easier with a port. Not much left for me to try.
