New to group after getting my RALP pathology results and T3a DX

Hi Folks - I have been watching the information, bravery, compassion, humor and positive culture in this group for a few months while awaiting the pathology results from my surgery. I got them yesterday with the not so good news of T3a stage diagnosis. Lymph nodes sampled were clear. Seminal vesicles clear also. Decipher Score testing has been ordered and first PSA draw is scheduled for 3 weeks from now, with the intention of reviewing both in four weeks from now.

I've been able to stay pretty positive about this whole thing up to now and hoping that will continue. After some research I have a new approach to diet, exercise and priorities, although with four young adults in various stages of flying the coup life is already complicated. I've put the details of my timeline in my profile if anyone is interested.

Any suggestions or advice, in any area, would be welcome while I wait for the next set of results.

Cheers,

SA

That first ultrasensitive PSA is key. Nothing to be done but wait, as nerve-wracking as that is.

Welcome SergeAvion. Waiting is the hard part . I’m a westerner too. Between growing up in Nor cal and living on and off in Ca” and Az for the past forty years . My grandparents were from Loveland , dad joined Natl park service in RMNP for a 35 yr career ..We grew up living in parks . Wife and I shall be near Durango this summer . We now live in the giant Saguaro forest N of Tucson . These well informed ladies and gentleman here are here to answer anything that could come up . One of us at least has been in those exact shoes. APC is not something to chat with friends around the campfire.. Guys dont want to hear anything about PC . I don’t blame them .If I didn’t have it I wouldn’t want to speak of it much either . . They think it’s going to rub off on them . You have a full house of young adults ..Wow ! That’s a lot of action . I hope that they are loving and helpful . Best news positive on your test . No matter what it says you must keep positive and active ... Hope that you guys can get some kind of vacation time ... Peace to you and the family...Thanks for posting .. Scott 🌵

Greeting SA, Thank goodness your head is out of the clouds and you've come to this site for important info and camaraderie. In my unprofessional and dumb opinion I think you're in good shape, but you MUST keep a watchful eye on your disease. Be proactive with your health but also enjoy you life. Don't forget to laugh.....

T3A lots better than most of us. Join the "I hate the wait" club. You will get a little less nervous as time goes by, but time between tests and results is still tough, even after years at stage 4 metastisized . . Best of luck with test results pending.
