Have read several good articles on dosing but looking for any suggestions or tips from the members who are using CBD oil for pain and/or anxiety. I have only used it one time.

Using Green Roads CBD Hemp Oils

I was listening to a cancer coaching call last night on this. I will re-listen shortly. (here is what I remember) What he said was that CBD for pain will only help in that it may reduce inflammation. There is pain that comes from things other than inflammation and it might not help this. I am thinking he suggested starting at a low dose, if I remember correctly 35mg and seeing if that helps. There may be some differences in the CBD oil from hemp versus cannabis. I guess if one does not help try the other. Phivida makes a cbd oil and it was the one our integrative doctor recommended. My sweetie did not seem to find much relief from ANY CBD oil that we tried.

(you might want to try it different ways.. with food.. on an empty stomach to see if one way helps more than the other)

Regarding anxiety. .try taking some l-theanine with the cbd oil. We like the 200mg L-theanine from Swanson. (I was watching a show on anxiety and depression) You could try Silexan 80 or Lavela - it is an edible part of lavender that is supposed to be relaxing.. I just learned about this and have not tried it.. it is more of an anti-anxiety supplement.

Hugs and prayers! I hope you find some relief from your pain.

My current and ongoing experience to modulate extreme pain and little sleep.

Reasonable success with 95mg total a day CBD. (Hemp). Tincture from 15-30 ml bottles. Taken every 6 hrs. Smoothed about 80% of pain down to tolerable and sleeping quite well for a change.

Had to add 20-40mg THC to affect the last 20% of my pain.

Dropped Tramadol, Kept taking Norco but plan to reduce if possible. Still learning what works for me.

Fairly strict diet changes are helping as well.

CBD has a very low toxicity. I have seen published dosages of 800 mg per day with no deleterious effects. I myself took 300 mg just prior to the six chemo sessions, which appeared to help with neuropathy of the toes and fingers. Keep in mind that some CBD oil’s contain significant amount of THC which can affect alertness. Try to buy products that state the amounts of CBD and THC. My two cents. Cheers, phil
