My husband had his 3 month hospital appointment today, all blood tests came back good, his psa has stayed at 0.21 over the last 2 months, I was concerned with the rise but they don't seem to concerned apparently its still lower than last year and seems to be stablized. He is having two scans done, ct scan and bone scan as he hasn't had any since December 2017, as the back and right leg are still hurting, also the ametriplyne medication has been changed to gabapentin for the nerve pain, his zometa infusion has been changed to every 3 months instead of monthly.
Hopefully all will be OK after the scans.

Not sure...but, you posted this at one point about hubby....:
He has a lot pain in the right foot and leg due to a trapped nerve, which was diagnosed at the beginning and is still ongoing ... He may benefit from gabapentin for nerve pain if he is not already on it....it will also be synergistic with his morphine... increased pain relief...talk to MD...
In the meantime, did you see if there was something to add on to degarelix--either casodex or zytiga ??....what is his blood specific alk phos (BAP)?
Thank you for your reply, they put him on gabapentin today to see if this helps, they don't want to add anything to the degarelix until he has the scans and they look at the results, they were happy with everything else, will check with my husband about his bloods. Should be having the scans in the next week and hopefully the gabapentin will help the pain
That's still very low PSA. As I said last time, adding Celebrex to Zometa may improve survival. Second line therapies like Xofigo, Provenge, Zytiga, Xtandi are appropriate.
