Hubby had bladder cancer which is in remission and skin cancer which is in remission. He quit smoking. He was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and they removed the Prostate with Davinci Robot. We thought we were out of the woods and so did all of his doctors. But the doctor said “Bad news. It went to 1 out of 9 lymph nodes on one side, Stage 4, will do hormone injection in 6 weeks after hubby is healed from the surgery. Then bam. That’s it?!? No other recourse? Sit around 6 weeks?

I assume they will then give him adjuvant radiation, after the hormone therapy takes effect.
First, I’m so sorry to hear this. If your husband has the toughness to quit smoking, (and congratulations for that!) another thing he could do to improve his chances is going whole food plant based....(WFPB) vegan. Go to nutritionfacts.org and look up videos on advanced prostate cancer. This is by Dr. Greger, who’s made his life mission to comb through scientific literature and data and report what is there in short videos. My husband did go on this lifestyle...and in the bargain, he lost 60+ lbs, no longer diabetic, not on cholesterol, blood pressure, meds any more. We don’t know about his cancer...so far PSA undetectable. I wish us all well.
Unfortounatly sitting around for 6 weeks to 6 months is in my mind the worst. Its hard to not think of whats going to happen. Its worse than the cancer itself on your head. Try to live life to its fullest in the meantime...... yea right i know what you feel like saying, stay strong you guys!!!
