Best scan for .27 psa w 20 bone Mets?

Am 2 months into Lupron, Zytiga n Predizone. My MO says that a standard bone scan is “fine”. I want the “best” scan for my numbers. Any thoughts gentlemen?

If you have 20 bone mets now, a better scan may show 40 or more. This will not cause a change in your current therapy.

The best scan is a PSMA PET/CT. However, it is very expensive. I would expect that in your case it shows lymph node mets as well.

Your MO may wish to track your progression using the same scan. They usually do a bone scan when Zytiga begins to fail. With 20 bone mets, there is no point to getting a different scan.
