Dx on 2/1/18 with 1345 PSA, cancer had metastasized to bones, lungs and lymph nodes. Initial treatment of radiation which is eliminated bone pain along with 2X daily doses of Casodex. Have had once a month infusions of Zometa along with Decadron IV and also a shot of Eligard for past 6 months. PSA now at <0.06. Have had Lupron shot. Now having pain in shoulder blade and lower back. See MO later this month. Biggest problem is what to eat. Bad cook and even fussier eater. oh, i'm 77 and like many have never had a sick day in my life. Try and keep some humor in my life, like my MO saying i was in perfect health but had cancer.

That's where I started. Perfect health except for this one thing that will kill me. RP, Lupron, Taxotere, Xtandi. PSA bottomed at 0.118 so far. Sounds like your treatments are working great....

Doug---68 and trying for your 77.

Except for my Pca and my Lung Melanoma I'm in perfect shape.

Good Luck and Good Health.

Very sorry such a healthy 77 year old would be bothered with this pca.

Your high initial PSA, did you not have routine PSA screenings with your physicals?

If not were you discouraged from having your PSA tested by your internest?

No its all on me. I was one of those people who never got sick. Never had any health problems, no hospitals, no xrays, no surgery in my all life, so my thought was why go to a Dr. I guess i should have gone, but its all good. I have no regrets, its been a great ride and i feel i have many more years ahead of me.
