Hi im new here. Was dx in Feb. '17 with stage 4, gleason 9. Went thru 6 cycles doc, once every 3 wks. I am curently on hormone therapy, lupron shot once a month and casodex daily. My Psa is undetectable according to my urologist and T is close to 40. My last bone scan looked good to my docs, nothing new and some regresion. I dont know if my Url. and Onc. specialize in pca. There is a MSK center in my town, (central NJ USA ) I might look there. There are alot of abbreviations here that are alien to me!

I think SRT also stands for stereotactic radiation therapy. Am I right ?

When used on this site it stands for salvage radiation therapy (there is a similar term aRT (adjuvant radiation therapy when they do it very soon after surgery). You are right - SRT does stand for stereotactic radiation therapy, which is super precise and used only on the brain. Stereotactic BODY radiation therapy (SBRT) is much the same, but refers to its use anywhere on the body (including the prostate) except the brain. Some call it SABR -stereotactic ablative body radiation - because it goes along with the "knife" idea (as in CyberKnife), although it is not really ablative.
