Husband finished six rounds of chemo six weeks ago and his hair still not growing back. He is on lupron shots every three months. Is this permanent hair loss? Or does it grow back? No beard either.

I've finished 9 rounds of Chemo with another planned for Tuesday. I to am almost hairless including the beard. It has taken 7 months to see about an inch of hair grow on the top of my head. It is very thin. I was told that my hair would eventually grow back but it might take awhile. They also warned me that in some cases the hair does not grow back.

I wonder if it’s a combination of lupron and chemo? My husband always had a lot of hair so he’s really bothered by this. He is taking biotene.

Has been 2 years since chemo. Never lost hair above the neck but lost all hair below the neck. Some hair has returned on lower legs, fore arms, and groin but nothing on chest, or armpits. In the scope of things not a big issue.

Good job! Getting thru chemo. I didn’t do chemo so I don’tknow about the hair.. Good thing bald is in. “ Hair is overrated “ that’s what My last barber told me 25 yrs ago as I was getting male pattern baldness. He said , shave it ..so I have. I’ve lost 99% of my body hair already. Can’t have bad hair days if you don’t have hair.

I've just finished 6th chemo, and been on ADT since May 2017. I didn't have much hair anyway, male pattern baldness started at age 24, but I still have about 2mm of hair in the places it used to be in. I did have a beard before chemo, there is now just a bit of bum fluff.

But PSA has come down from 47 to 2. I don't give a toss about hair loss as long as PCa responds to chemo and I don't want to sound unsympathetic - but hair loss is the least of our worries at this time.

I had MPB at 30. I went my barber he said” hair is over rated, shave it” So I did . Bald is in. 😂. Now I have a few hairs on me but bald underarms. Se la ve . No more speed stick needed. I put on an old shirt the other day that I had last worn when I had t . It stank .Havent smelled that musk in years . I don’t miss it or the hair. We go out like we come bald and naked . Haha😂

I’m a month out from my 6th and final chemo treatment. Still no indication of my hair growing back. It’s still early, though, and I’ve read that I should not expect it for 2-6 months following the end of chemo. I’m trying to learn to be patient, and accept that in the scope of life, especially living with Stage 4 PCa, that having hair is not the most important thing. If it grows back, great! If it doesn’t, I’m still alive, and thank God for every day I am given. Life is good, and I’m off to golf. 🏌️⛳️😎

We don’t need hair . Just food water and oxygen

It took 2 months for my eyebrows to come back, 7 mos. for my hair on my head, and 9 months for my beard. I have less body hair than before, BUT, 16 months later, I have significantly more hair on my head. World's most expensive rogaine. Be patient, it'll be back. Luprin doesn't help, though.

The best way to save falling hair is..... to put it in a cigar box.

My box is full.

Good Luck and Good Health.

Bald is beautiful, just shaved my head after first chemo, if it’s going it can go when I want and not plug up my drains, still have the beard that one is a little harder haven’t shaved in 30+ years but it’s going soon too and if it doesn’t come back and I’m still here I can live with that. Good luck and when you get some hair back we need a pic brother!

It took 2 or 3 months after I finished first 12 rounds of docetaxol ,then it came back thick as ever, with most all my gray done, thick and wavy. Now I am 4 rounds into Jevtana and what was straight hair will go into an an almost afro if I do not do anything with it, time for a haircut. I wish you the best. Hair seems not to be falling out with this new chemo, only thing I am doing different is rubbing vit e into it before chemo, not sure if that is the reason, but hair is not thinning at all this time.
