I was diagnosed with my cancer at age 56. At that time, I had developed a good sized bald patch on the top of my head. I am one month away from completing a 24 month ADT treatment plan. During that time, my wife tells me that my hair has considerably thicken over my previously bald spot. It's still pretty thin, but not nearly as much as it was before I started ADT. I'm grateful for that silver lining in the ADT treatments
I'm now wondering what will happen when the ADT begins to wear off. Will my hair remain thick? Will it revert to my previous bald state, and if so, how quickly?
Does anyone have any experience with this?

I can say after 6 months off Lupron I haven't seen a return of my body hair but everything above the neck seems fuller and less grey than when I started it.
Hmmm. Interesting. I just cut my husband's hair today. It's always been thick, no balding or receding hairline at all. Just grey! So, I wouldn't notice if ADT thickened it or not. Glad you are watching the bald spot disappear!
Hi DJBUNK. The hair on my head is definitely thicker, bald spot going and it grows faster. I have noticed that my nails grow thicker and faster as well. Crazy. Good luck to you.
I've been bald for over 40 years, but now when I give my 4-year old granddaughter a ride on my shoulders, she rubs the top of my head and says excitedly, "You've got hair Poppy!" The new hair is so fine I can't really see it unless light is just right. But, I'm glad to trust her young eyes.
Hi, six years into this disease and living with zero testosterone my Oncologist decided enough is enough. Lost most body hair and head hair thinning plus all the other side effects. Now after six months of testogel life has improved. Body hair has returned and hair is thickening. Side effects have also improved outside and inside the bedroom. My Oncologist is the best what she says goes.
My bald spot shrunk during ADT. I am still on Xtandi but my hair fell out after first chemo. It is now growing out (about 2mm length now) and jury is still out on the size of bald spot. But Head hair re growth is much stronger than that of facial hair. Head hair is combo of brown and white. facial hair is very sparse and all white.
Update. Following two months of Docetaxel, Carboplatin and 160mg day Xtandi my head hair re growth is all white and thin, my eyebrows are thin, my eyelashes gone entirely I have pubic hair like during first months of puberty and rest of body is hairless. I have not shaved for six weeks although the odd white whisker pops out on chin.
my husband's hair fell out after 2nd round of Chemo. He decided to shave his head. He had a thick beautiful head if hair and it has upset him shaving it, however now he just looks like several of our bald friends instead of looking sick with strings of hair over a scalp. He just noticed this morning a bit of hair growth on his head. He just finished his 5th session and has 5 more to go. Do you believe the hair loss may have stopped and he will have hair on his hair again? So far he is handling the Chemo with minimal side effects.
update. Three months later. I have a very thick head of silvery white/grey hair and my bald spot has been shrunk, but I go on the Docetaxel/carboplatin train again next week,so it may be short lived
