Thanks for the welcome... Totally my fault I am in this condition really, about 3 years ago my PSA was 5-6, My GP cautioned me on this... he sent me to an ouoligist, but I told myself what the heck, to take time off to see the doctor, not getting paid just to get a digital exam is crazy... so I did not go, the next december for my annual check up, he sent me again for my psa test... it was a whopping 9.5... guess what I did... yep you guessed it... I did not go... so the next year again I went for my annual, my MD sent me again for my PSA... I got a call almost before the ink dried on the report.. my PSA was a double-digit 18... I went, got the old digit exam, felt violated, was told to come back in 3 months... guess what... I went back when my results came back at 53... was ordered to have a biopsy, this came back 10 out of 12 samples taken were 100% involved... so I got a bone scan, nothing showing in my bones... I got a CT scan... no other part is affected... July this year 2018 I will be 65 years old... what a retirement gift... I plan to have radical radiation with hormone therapy... so I guess I will be entering menopause sooner than I thought posable for a man... we menopause does start with "men"

Look at it this way - you had 3 years with good quality of life. It's not at all clear that the delay will significantly affect the outcome, especially since your description implies that the cancer is still confined to the prostate.

Good luck to you!

Greetings.... You're in great company here. Congrats on your retirement. When I retired I received a watch as a remembrance gift for all my hard work and dedication... Then gave me a real "Gruen".

Good Luck and Good Health.
