Husband’s PSA down from 14.6 on 1/4/18 to 11.82 2/26/18. I counted over the past 17 years we have celebrated downward direction changes 7 times and I have recorded 56 PSA readings. He also received a 30 day Lupron to cover him until orchiectomy on 3/22.
Remarkably he has no side effects except hot flashes but has gained 10 pounds of belly on his otherwise skinny frame.

We were talked out of surgical castration by the mo when he started ADT 2.5 years ago.
An update on Xtandi is he is not responding very well but goes in again soon. His PSA stayed level last month, no drop. After reading the Xtandi lit it states that a level or even rising PSA is no reason to discontinue Xtandi. Disease progression is a reason to stop it and that would be determined by scans of which our current MO is not a “fan”.
