Hi all,

I've asked my Dads oncologist but waiting on reply.

My Dads is due his Degarelix shot today but his GP is away until next Monday.

Is there a consequence to being a week late on it ? He is still taking zytiga daily.

Thanks

As explained to me by my urologist it's ok to be a little late with getting the shot but not early for sure. Im sure there is plenty of residuals in only a week later past the due date. It takes many months for any testosterone to come back after stopping them. I know that for a fact after trying to take a vacation 2 years after startinG HT. Im my personal opinion he'll be fine.

I agree, you can be more than a week late and still be fine, plus taking Zytiga which can also keep T levels low. Nothing to worry about.

Taylor, I agree that a week late ONCE is not a problem. However, I disagree with the statement that early is not good--except if you're on Medicare, in which case there may be payment problems--and that's serious stuff to your doc! :-)
