currently on firmagon or degarelix Just prescribed ERLEADA OR APALUTAMIDE MD Aerson pharmacy lists $26,000 month. I don’t have a drug plan till January. Where can I buy it lower cost?

Hi guys just joined group,was diagnosed with prostate cancer 2021 PSA was over 1,000 had operation on spine then radiotherapy followed by chemotherapy then monthly Degarelix injections now been advised by oncologist to go onto Zoladex and Biclutamide as PSA has been slowly rising again,was down to 0.96

Tomorrow I am scheduled to get my 18th injection of Degarelix. Despite the monthly frequency, I’m much happier with the SE’s from Degarelix than from Lupron or Eligard.

I’m about to be changed over from Degarelix (Firmagon) to Prostap (Lupron) in a couple of weeks because 3 monthly injection is more convenient. I’ve read that Degarelix is better though.., maybe I should ask to stay on that? Or I’m wondering about asking to switch to Orgovyx instead.

I am a 68yr old guy who had a Rarp in August 23 for a Grade 5 T3a prostate cancer Jan this year my PSA started to rise setting of alarm bells with my Urologist further test and a PSMA PET scan confirmed Metastatic recurrence on lymph nodes and a rib I was put back on to monthly Degarelix Hormone therapy

Before treatments (Apalutamide, Degarelix, Zometa) PSA number at biopsy was 6.89 After hospitalization (June/July 2024) for heart attack: PSA was at 348 (monitored by Oncologist at hospital) Treatments began in August 2024 monthly.

I've been on Degarelix and Enzalutamide for 6 months now. I'm also 3 sessions into a 6 session course of RT to the prostate - Tomotherapy 36 gray delivered in 6 x 6 gray fractions. Any ideas on how to alleviate? Thanks... and Happy New Year!

I’m presuming it’s my balls starting to wither after 3 months of degarelix and enzalutamide… but maybe it’s more worrying? Balls!

MO said to repeat the T test after a couple of weeks and if it shows an increasing trend to shift to Degarelix or some other ADT. He has started to take the Relugolix on empty stomach to see if that helps as I read it is absorbed better on an empty stomach.
