It is another name for Zytiga
Abiraterone acetate is the generic/chemical name for Zytiga---it's the same thing.
Zytiga and Xtandi (enzalutamide) have different actions; Zytiga has to be taken with prednisone to prevent adrenal insufficiency. Zytiga interrupts the production of testosterone in the testes, adrenals and the tumors themselves (cancer cells can synthesize testosterone, also) but Xtandi interrupts the androgen receptors in the cancer cells, that's the main difference.
CERICWIN
I have read that so many times - that at some point the cancer cells can synthesize testosterone themseleves. It seems so unlikely. Synthesize testosterone out of what?
But my question is, do you know of any website that supplies some detail on this ability?
I remember that by "ab" are the first two letters and they sort of match "zy" which are the last two letters of the alphabet.
