Introducing myself ....

Greetings. I was dx in 2002, with lymph node and seminal vesicle involvement. Gleason 8 and PSA of 4.7. Did a radical in Oct 2002, which lasted about 18 months before PSA started to rise. Then SRT which gave me another 18 month remission, BUT 10 years later I developed a rectal cancer from the SRT which lead to a permanent colostomy, then liver mets, and now lung mets.......still fighting this. I  digress...back to the Pca...I used Lupron, Casodex,then Nilutamide for about 10 years keeping the cancer in check Last October 2015 with a PSA of 5 went onto Xtandi, by Feb PSA up to 91 (I let my guard down while having a lung surgery). In March 2016, started Zytiga will test PSA in 30 days. In the meantime I now have developed bone mets in my ribs and spine which are painfull. I don't know what to expect at this point....probably chemo for the Pca....but I just found out I have another lung nodule..probably rectal mets. This is a real mess.

Sounds like you have had a terrible time, so sorry.  Even though you are on Zytiga, if the bone mets are very painful you still can have Radium 223 now.  It should give you pain relief and according to the clinical trial also provide you with some life extension.

As I try to trawl through these post,s  it just takes me back to how many tough old boys there are out there and sometimes not so old tough old boys I keep coming across , god bless you all and best regards Dave .
