Hi all,

I came home from work today to find a letter waiting for me from Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Car Board stating that I have until 31.03.2025 to complete a form to stay on the service pathway.

It states that the adult ADHD services provider is changing and that there are services anyone can access even prior to diagnosis - great! But here’s the rub - you could be kicked off the pathway if you do not action the info under “What you need to do next”.

”To help us understand your needs and ensure you receive the right support, please complete the short form lined below. This will guide us in directing you to the most appropriate pathway.

If you need support completing the form or require it in an alternative format, please use the contact details at the end of this letter.

Please respond by Monday, 31st March 2025. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you no longer require support from the Adult ADHD service.”

If you know anyone living in this area of the country, please let them know!

The letter was dated 7th March, enveloped Franck 21st March and I have received it on 26th March. I cannot believe I have been given FOUR DAYS to make sure I stay on the pathway to access services to which everyone is fully entitled.

I’m just hoping no one this affects is away on holiday and misses the letter :(

Hi, I don’t know whether you’ve seen but the form has now been updated and you can submit your responses up to 15th April.

"Trust, but verify."*

I recommend that you verify with the current service provider, via their publicly posted contact info. A scammer might use a warning message like this in order to fool people out of money or their personal information.

I'm not in the UK, but I'm a tech support worker in the US, and I regularly go through security training in order to help protect the people in my work organization. (Change in service or change in benefits warning messages are a favorite ploy in phishing scams.)

.....

* ("Trust, but verify," is apparently an old Russian saying, but was once made popular in the West by former US President Ronald Reagan.)
