ADHD & Distractions

1. Work on ways to help you deal with distractions

2. Keep a list of triggers

3. Don’t allow yourself to get bored

4. Ignore folks who say ADHD doesn't exist- we’re just lazy.

5. Set yourself up for success

6. Create a distraction-free zone

7. Remember- managing adhd is about what you CAN do, not what you can’t.

Well. An amazing list. I have started my ##List of Triggers## now.

One if them, obviously, is boredom.

I will not lose my list.

Twi questions.

Chevy, Thanks for the list. I copied it to print out.

My #1 has always been to take my meds.

For me, I need to add to your #7 ...not what you can't do and all of those things from my past that I thought about but didn't do.

Cheers and Happy New Year.

Man, it's hard to deal with the people who say ADHD doesn't exist or "it's just an excuse". Luckily I've only had to deal with one guy that held that view. Thanks for the list, it can be hard to not get bored (as all of us have experienced) but it is certainly possible.
