Hii i'm a 19 year old from Texas and I was diagnosed and prescribed adderall a couple months ago! I took a semester off my college in Minnesota after my first year because the unmedicated, undiagnosed adhd/autism/depression combo was severely kicking my ass.
But now that i'm going back to school in a month it turns out my psych can't provide me adderall out of state since its a controlled substance. My insurance (AmBetter) isn't taken in minnesota so i'm not sure what to do if I cant find an affordable one there for the semester. Have any of y'all who have gone through something similar or know someone who has help me out? Thank you <3

You will have to find a doctor in the state you are living in to provide your Adderall. You may have to be tested again. You can get a copy of your medical records from your previous doctor. But there is little chance another doctor will prescribe based on another doctors opinion. There is no guarantee another doctor will prescribe you Adderall. Look for a Federally Qualified Health Center in your area. They charge based on income.
i have had multiple different providers and in different states n never been “ retested”. that seems like a strange concept, i didnt know that was a “ thing”.
I'll just repeat Queen_of_Tara's suggestion with the addition that your school may have a student counseling center and if so you might want to check there as well. Also check to see if there is a state medical school nearby, they might be a resource.
But back to your original problem. I take Adderall and there have been several times when I've been out of state for several months and my local doctor just sent the Rx to a local pharmacy. I had no problem getting the script filled. However my med insurance did have provisions for being able to get Rx's filled if I was out of state, and the local pharmacy was the same chain pharmacy as my in state one.
