I’ve been an athletic most of my life, but since my ADHD has been more prominent in terms of my limitations. I haven’t been able to be consistent in fight training or working out. Like I’ll do good, having a good rhythm going then hit a plateau and stop doing my stuff. Any advice? Whether it’s a simpler routine would be more obtainable to uphold or pairing it with something. I don’t know

What's helped me be consistent is being part of a team or group, I play soccer on a team and also do virtual cycling with a regular group, the accountability is what keeps me showing up. If I feel like I'm slipping (which happens!), I don't let it happen because I know my team or group is counting on me.
The social aspect also makes the exercise more enjoyable - it feels less like a task and more like a fun way to connect with people, which can help you stay consistent without relying solely on yourself.
Maybe change up the routine to provide variety? Like pick a slightly different routine each week
I struggle with this too. It sounds silly, but something you are use to doing every day can become impossible to accomplish just because you missed a few days or so. Things either become too easy and are put off until it's too hard to get back into it. Yes, it's okay to change it up, but remember ADHD can include time management issues and feeling easy overwhelmed. So if you change it up, do it slowly. I try to change up the routine one thing at a time. Try to recognize what you love and what you don't. Stick to what you like and change only one thing you don't find as fun anymore at a time. Even your reward system, if you stick to your routine you can reward yourself, and this reward may need to change, but the idea is you are mixing up the steps and rewards rather than stopping all together.
