I'm gonna officially try vyvanse tomorrow morning. It's been ages and due to some scary reviews, stigma etc. I had just delayed trying it for more than a month. I just had a lightbulb moment recently and also realized that at this point not taking could pose greater risks than taking it and giving it a shot.
I will keep you all updated.

All the best! My partner (ADHD) is thriving on it after trying a non-stimulant. My psychiatrist also mentions it's one of the top choices for ADHD at the moment.
Give it a shot. I switched to Vyvanse from Adderal about 7 months ago and like it. Effects are smooth and nice. More expensive of course but the supply is not curtailed here in the USA.
Good luck and best wishes to the OP. Here on the East Coast 70 mg which I have taken for years are back ordered. I do not take it for ADHD but rather narcolepsy. It’s been a week and I am trying to keep it together. I have started drinking energy drinks again after two years off of them. The doctor sent a prescription for 2 30 mg capsules a day, but the insurance company denied it. My doctor is working on getting it overridden. I hate the American healthcare system!
Same! Others didn’t work at all, I just wish I had known one cup of weak coffee a day was what made me feel awful the first time I took them, on them now and decaf all the way - I suddenly have no battles in my head in terms of money, eating, drinking, exercising, I could never understand how managing those things was just natural to some people! It’s changed my life! Just wish I could sort out the tense jaw and shoulders it gives me 🤔
I tried vyvanse, it was my first day. I have to say that It was awesome. I think I got what I expected from it. It made me very calm, reduced anxiety, improved concentration and reduced my hyperactivity.
I felt more engaged in conversations and interestingly seemed to retain information better as well. I just feel more mature when I'm on this like an adult as opposed to a child.
Haven't noticed any annoying side effects and my apatite was fine maybe cos I was consciously trying to eat. The increased heart rate wasn't noticeable to me, although maybe very very slightly increased if I bothered to pay attention.
It has been effective for like 11 & a half hours - I am writing it at this point not sure when I will experience the crash at this point although now I am feeling maybe slightly more tired than before.
We are all so happy you seem to have found what works for you!! Everyone is unique but I feel Vyvanse has changed my life for the better, no hyperbole!
same!! I find I’m tired and would rather sleep or read from 8pm onwards - if that’s the ‘crash’ I can handle it! I’m also a mum to a toddler and a beautiful lab! Work full time and the breadwinner of the family, I might just need bed at 8pm 🤔😂 so glad it’s working for you all, I work with a pharmacist who said vyanase was always the one prescribed by psychiatrists (who in her opinion understand the medicine inside and out), the U.K. will try and get you on concerta etc as it’s cheaper. I pay privately to have vyanase as there’s no better investment in my eyes that I could make in myself.
In the last two months, there is now a new generic for Vyvanse that is super cheap comparatively. I am taking that now and still feels the same. Lisdexamphetamine I believe is the generic name.
