would it be ADHD or just me?

will it count if I just notice it recently, because of the time I spent browsing all over my tiktok fyp, that some of the symptoms of ADHD is also my doings.

like I know myself for a people pleaser, I care more about the opinions of others, that's why I am careful of actions, and words, also when sharing stories. But sometimes when I am into the topic, I will be talkative or share more. then in the middle of conversation I try to interrupt my friend to add what's on my mind, I may stop and let my friend finish, but I will forget what I wanted to say and tell them that I forgot what I should say. Also been notice that I sometimes finish the sentence of the ones who is talking, especially on our meeting (lucky me, I am on mute.)

I once told to my friends, that I tend to forget things like my ballpen, where did I put it. Phone, notebook, or headsets, etc., or forget things why I stood up or go to kitchen or why I go out to my room. but then he said everyone forgets things. Well, as for me, if I forget things where I put them, I tend to ask my mom (and she gets mad at me. lol) and if I forget what should I do next, I will stop for awhile and try to think what I should do or go back where I were or what was I doing before.

then at work, since we are on ticketing system, I will do at least 3 tickets all at once. then there will come a time that I would tend to forget that I was doing one of the ticket because I was busy doing emails or chats. also if there is a project they wanted to be prioritize, I will focus on that and over time. after that, I will focus on the latest task, then the older or past task it will be forgotten and will pile up and then will get stress-out because I don't know how should I finish them because of overdue task.

would that count possible ADHD, because it is only now been noticing and I can't remember if I was also doing them since childhood or if it is massive or consistent one.

Hello,

Thanks for your story, simple answer…it could be. The only way to find out is to get diagnosed by a professional.

Psychiatry isn’t an exact science, it could be something else… plenty of psychiatric patients have multiple “labels” and there is obvious overlap with other disorders, like ASD, anxiety, depression or even borderline PD.

Eventually it comes down to classification, do your symptoms fit the diagnostic criteria? And If so, what is your story and why is it disfunctional? = personal diagnosis.

That last part is most important. Another thing to consider…

You could also become “disfunctional” if your disorder isn’t treated properly… and worst case scenario… you’ll get to know all kinds of comorbidities, because you haven’t learned how to deal with certain hardships in life.

So, it’s an individual choice to make!
