i've posted couple days ago about the doc putting me on adderall, well after two days it did not work for me at all, started to see "shadows", if you know what i mean, in a way it calmed me down but the adhd symptoms magnified, i don't know what else to do, i was diagnosed with adhd last year, depression and anxiety long time ago, 8 months ago i had complete anxiety breakdown, was hospitalized and they could not help me, non of the anxiety meds worked, hydroxizine, clonopin, temazepam, just made it worse, and on top of that insomnia hit me too, they really think you are crazy when you have anxiety and just can't sit still, i never had it before like that, i'm reaching out here because i don't know what else to do

It is possible you do not have ADHD. Diagnosis of mental health issues is not a exact science. One doctor can diagnose a patient with ADHD and another can say there is no ADHD. When someone has ADHD, usually stimulants work well but it can take a while to find the right medication(s) and/or combination. Especially where there are other issues like anxiety and depression

It didn't work for my son either. But instead of his doctor trying something else, he kept raising the dosage of the adderal to the maximum. High anxiety and was put on 150mg of hydroxyzine. Also had a mental break in June and we hospitalized him. Then he ended up with felony charges in the ER trying to get out of the locked room he was in. He's been off the adderal and the hydroxyzine since then and is doing alright. I also wonder if he truly has ADHD.

I would try to get into seeing another doctor to get a second opinion. As far as sleep..have you tried melatonin? I used to sleep poorly and tried Zzzzquil and it puts me right out.

I have anxiety. Have you tried any meditation? Deep breathing. In through your nose count of 7- hold for 4 sec- breathe out through the mouth count of 7-8

Alot of good stuff on you tube. Check out The Honest Guys

After seeing what my son went through I would try other methods before medication for anxiety. I do have ativan but use it only when it's severe and I could go into afib. You don't want to take that stuff daily.

One thing i know you need to be VERY patient with finding the right medication for you.Dosage also matters. My son started with Rittalin 10mg. The he switched to adderall extended release 15 mg. Try concerta as well. You also need to ONLY try that medication without any others to see a real results at least for couple days. Plus consult with your phsyciatrist and do regular therapy. I had to bike 18km a day for a few days at work, and I never felt that good. Everything I thought was adhd or anxiety or both was completely gone. I also tried a lot of medications for adhd, but only 1/5 experts said I have adhd. Maybe you have a wrong diagnosis? It would explain why no medication seems to work. Same here.

I am sorry to hear about your troubles. I too have anxiety and depression. My ADHD was magnified. I tried 49 different medications after my nervous breakdown. I am one of the few that responded well to Adderall. Maybe you need less or more. I don’t know, I am not a doctor or telling you what to do. I just want you to know that you are not alone. Mental illness is a roller coaster ride. I hope that you find the help you need soon.
