Unde the circumstances, it would be best to not take your Adderall before your appointment. Adderall and Valium decrease the effectiveness of each other when taken together. The Adderall and novacaine combined could raise your blood pressure higher than Adderall or novacaine alone.
I’m prescribed Adderall and Valium, along with Lexapro. I take my Adderall first thing in the morning and typicall take Valium in the evening to help with winding down and sleep. I don’t take them together. I agree that it would be good to not take your Adderall and only the Valium before your dentist appointment. Valium does decrease your blood pressure, but the Adderall can cause dry mouth, which always makes things challenging for your dentist, not to mention, they might question this and suggest options to control that. My dry mouth symptoms went away after a few weeks on the Adderall. After your appointment, taking your Adderall would probably be just fine. The Valium would already be in your system and the Adderall will give you what you need to work. You can also ask your dentist what they recommend. That are used to patients who take it and have always been helpful to me.
