Lack of mental health providers

Why are there so few mental health providers?

And of the ones who do provide mental health services are rarely covered by medicare. I had far more choices when I was not on medicare.

I was not given a choice because when I turned 65 medicare is compulsory

My private insurance was far more helpful

If you have Original Medicare. The link below will help you find providers in your area that accept Medicare. If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, you have to see a providers in their network. Call your Medicare Advantage Plan and ask for psychiatrists in your area that are in their network.
