Just saying hi

Hi, I joined here yesterday and I started taking medication for ADHD when I was in high school. I’m in college now and they really help. And since I found out I have ADHD, I understand all the pain I went through. I was diagnosed with a learning difference called Auditory Processing Disorder when I was about five, the symptoms for Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) and ADHD are so similar, that’s probably why wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD sooner. But at first I thought the people who diagnosed me with my learning difference were right, but after reading about both I know I have both. I’m glad to meet everyone. And I’m glad I joined the support group.

Hello. I too have ADHD and APD. I wasn't diagnosed with either one until I was an adult. It's definitely helped me get adjustments at work so that I can wear noise cancelling headphones.
