Has anyone researched or has gone through the process of identifying what type of ADD/ADHD they have? What was the process like?

7 Types? This must be something recent? Info on ADHD seems to change constantly - at least parts of it. I thought there were three: inattentive, hyperactive-impulsive, and combined. I'm combined/predominantly inattentive.

Thank you. I've been doing research, and came across this information. I wasn't sure if these types were acknowledged and accepted by the medical community. I'll update my question.
