Is this normal?

In order to write a paper, to stay focused I have to play music with words, everyone else finds this distracting, but it helps! In order to just plain listen to music, I have to walk around, I'll walk around aimlessly for hours and not know it, is this normal?

I understand how you feel, I use to feel like a weirdo because everyone disagreed, but I have come to find it the best way to concentrate, therefore I have a superpower, concentrating while listening to music.

I love that. It’s a superpower. I need the TV on. Could never do music with words, myself.

I think it’s because we need to add a distraction in order to get our brain to work harder and focus in on the project. 🤣
