Can I just say how happy I am to find this community. I have been living a abroad for near three years now and without any form of mental health support since 2016 and I have a breakdown at least once every two months, constant paranoia and negative self talk. But I live... Finally fed up I decided to look into possible resources or assistance and I found CHADD. I almost cried glancing over the communities, message threads and noticing that people actually respond... you all support... and I feel that I can be supported here.
Glad I found you

Welcome! I check in here every once in a while. I'm sorry to hear you don't have any other mental health support, especially in these trying times of COVID 19. There are a lot of online resources, like ADDitude magazine and ADD.org. I don't know what to say about the paranoia but you can challenge negative self talk with more rational or positive statements. For example, if you think, "My life is a mess. I can't get it together," you might challenge that by telling yourself, "No one's life is perfect and tidy. I am a work in progress with many blessings and achievements."
Welcome! I just joined too. Before meds n therapy i used to have debilitating anxiety, i guess maybe paranoia too. Oddly, i didnt necessarily have negative self talk- i hated everyone else n was a perfectionist to hide my own short comings. It was exhausting. Meds n weekly therapy for 9 months and i feel good now. But hey, u said u were abroad and no MH support. Why is that? Are u not around doctors and therapist?
