Does anyone have problems with decision making .
Hiya crystalsphinx,I totally agree with what you say.As someone who has ADHD but not been given meds yet,I tend to deal with things that I know are not going to test me,easily. But when I have to deal with things like form filling or dealing with problems,I put them to the side, not able to deal with them. Not sure if this is all to do with adhd or the fact that my depression is off the charts,or maybe a combo of both.I am so good at not dealing with situations,my situ is pretty similar in that I'm getting really anxious too but not for any specific reason.I bet covid plays it's part too because I'm pretty much self isolating.I don't know if you're getting out of the house at all but I bet all the issues you mention are all intertwined.I hope you have people to talk to,to unburden yourself. These are such testing times where these issues are all coming to the forefront.Crystalsphinx, dyu not think that your worries where you're not dealing with things are making you really on edge.I hope you get some peace with wellbeing/meditation,anything to break up your anxiety bouts.I wish you all the very best and hope you turn the corner real soon.
YES!! and stress that affects the anxiety. Manage them very cautiously!!Take all the time you need to find the correct decision...then be firm in your decision.
It's difficult but the better your stress level and MH is the easier it is to be confident in your decisions.
Yesss! I swear I'm trying so hard to find a way to virtual hug you right now!!!! I haven't read much about how anxiety can make ADHD symptoms worse anywhere, so I really thought I WAS a little further on the wrong side of slightly Looney than I wanted to be! I have always assumed that my inability to make decisions was because of ADHD because isn't the decision making process largely an executive function? Those (executive functions) are what ADHD makes all wonky. BUT, when I started having panic attacks and/or becoming furious just before a grocery run, I started wondering if anxiety could be making my ADHD worse.
My memory is non-existent some days, I'll be in the MIDDLE of a sentence & and then the entire thought is just gone, POOF!! Or I'll have a thing in my hand and it disappears! All of this just started happening over the last year or year and a half, so it's nothing to find me ugly crying at the kitchen table!
I've heard it's like a heart attack. And I can believe that.
