I've recently come across a term from an unreliable source called Visual exhaustion. Basically the idea is that if people with ADHD see something enough times it begins to fade into the background - this could apply to something that's meant to be a daily reminder on your phone, or clutter in your room, or reminders that you post up for yourself all over the house.
This sounds EXACTLY like something I've always struggled it and haven't been able to verbalise but I couldn't find any information on this when I tried to do some research. Has anyone else ever heard of this or something like it and could they please point me into the right direction because it's something I'd love to know more about.
It's also partially to prove a point to my dad who has been blaming me for this exact thing all my life and I'd love to finally be able to verbalise this properly with some evidence to back me up.
