I am 43 years old i start reading about ADHD recently,
In the past I always thought I am much different from others, never know why, but when I tried to read about ADHD, I could see that I am reading myself characteristics book,
I tried many tests online they all suggest that I have high score and probably to have severe ADHD, I am now alone in foreign country as a part of study exchange program, I have no close friend around to speak to, and even if I were home I will not dare to speak, no member of my family, also I dont want to make them suffer for something I might have, actually I dont know what to do except ignoring if there is something, I am not afraid, but I thought it is better to write here maybe I can get an advise or hints,
Thanks for reading

Hi, Newlydiscovered and congratulations on finding this website. This is a safe place where you express yourself and be around others who are also dealing with ADHD. 1) Don't feel guilty for something you have inherited- that's like feeling guilty for having dark hair or green eyes. ADHD is highly genetic so it probably came from a parent. 2) No one is perfect and everyone has flaws. We're all trying to make the best of our unique personalities, strengths and weaknesses. Find what you excel at in life and where your interests lie and pursue that area. Most people with ADHD have some areas of great skill that they can develop with practice and focus.
Thank you for your kindness, your are right no one is perfect, humans are always full of faults and weeknes, I think we are just different, and every one is unique, but I dont think that my home community will understand and accept, I have my excel and I hope that I will become scientist in my field one day, although I feel symptoms tie me to go all those years, but one day I will stand and say on public here the scientist of ADHD.
Now I want to know how to be sure if I have ADHD, because all documents I read said don't diagnose your self even if you find all symptoms, so it is not do it yourself thing, I am not sure if I can find support from profisional, because I am foreigner who dont speak espalier but in Spain, yet away thousands of miles from my home, where there also I can not say that I have ADHD.
