Finally diagnosed at age 50!

And for a few years now I have been enjoying this new perspective, and am enjoying success in a new career thanks to Adderall. I'm here on this site interested in connecting and chatting with folks like me...

I'm very interested in the judgmental, hurtful, Labels that get slapped upon us Neuro-divergent people. For example my non-Hyperactive ADD got me labeled as "Lazy" constantly by my mother and others. Their judgmental comments soon became fixed in my brain as "my inner voice"... you too? As soon as I started on Adderall the nasty inner voice disappeared! Anyone else experience this? Anyway FREEDOM came with diagnosis and meds. Very thankful.

I have been lazy and uncaring due to my inattentiveness more times than I can count. I have yet to be diagnosed but I am meeting with doctor at the end of the month to start that process. I hope to find some answers and glad to hear success like yours!
