Hey there everyone .I am new here . Honestly,I don't even know whether I have ADHD or not or how exactly to change myself or what the hell am I supposed to do .

Joined this group hoping to get some free advice(others site I found were all paid) from any of the experts here.

My chronic problem - 1. Too much trouble focusing on a single task for more than 1 minutes (some people call it procrastination but I am not lazy).I am really hyperactive person who delays every bit of my work to the (stressful)last minute only to push out disappointed work [ due to lack of time and overall promising the fact that I would deliver good work which I am totally capable of ] but mind wanders in 100 other directions once I start something only to later.

2. Really hyperactive (thanks to my Dad who I've inherited from).Take small things way too seriously. Rushing every single second only to shift focus from one important thing to 100 other unimportant ones(been like a habit now).

super shy.Introvert.Hardly any friends to talk to. Super short tempered.

If any of folks who solved such issues in their past, looking for advice or suggestions ASAP ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Moreover,How is this site gonna help me ? Only through asking for advice or any sort of virtual sessions are held with experts or other group members occasionally ???????

Suffered way too much mental pain / Wasted too much of Dad's as well as mine money / Got fired in the last 2 months on n on n on......... :(

Hi Natsu. I would advice you to see a psychiatrist and get valuation for ADHD. We are not really experts here, we are just people with HDHD, maybe marginal experts, but we are more of a support system. What almost all of us would agree on, is that you see a psychiatrist and get evaluated and get propper medication. Also if you want to learn more, there is a wonderful doctor that you can find on YouTube, type in “Russell Barkley” and watch his videos. You will definatly learn from that expert. He’s very knowledgeable about ADHD and is fun fo watch.

Ellapony before I read your comment, I was thinking the same thing. Lol. This 4 minute video sounds exactly like part of what you just described about putting everything off until the last minute etc. This video is a wonderful explanation about why we do this.

Hello, Natsu! First of all, I have to say I like your name. Secondly, I will second Ellapony in suggesting you see a professional to get a diagnosis, though it certainly does sound like ADHD. You could then discuss treatment options which may include medications, therapy, or both. In the meantime, I will suggest regular exercise, healthy eating, and meditation, all of which have helped me. If you would like to try meditation I would suggest a free app called headspace to help you get started. Best of luck!

Make sure you see a psychiatrist who specializes in adults with adhd. Very important!

Search YouTube for Dr Ned Hallowell and watch his videos. You will learn how to deal w your condition. You have special talents and there is nothing wrong with you. We are all wired differently and you have talents that others don’t. It is just hard because the current system is set up for conformity and not originality. Get on Meds, read about your condition and get a good therapist. Not a deficiency minded person but a strength based mindset for help. Also, look at Ted talks on Mindfulness. You are going to be okay.

Another YouTuber I would suggest is How to ADHD. She makes gives tips and info and her videos are fun to watch. She actually refrences Dr. Ned Hallowell in a few of her videos and even interviews him once or twice.
