Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale for Adult ADHD?

Anyone have experience taking the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) ? I just went through it and won't get results for 2 weeks but wondering if it will pick up on ADD. BTW, I am already diagnosed but doc thought this would also be helpful in refining the diagnosis and any comorbidies. Anyone have any experience or insights?

I received my results just a few weeks ago, and I was surprised to find that the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale was quite helpful in making the diagnosis of ADHD. There were several discrepancies in the results that pointed to difficulties in maintaining attention and processing information. For example, during the nonverbal portion of the test, I struggled with remembering a series of numbers. It was rote and dry, and I had difficulties sustaining attention to the task. Consequently, I scored poorly on that subtest. However, when I was given word problems to solve in my head, I was very focused and eager to get the answers correct, so of course I passed with flying colors! The test really helped to shed light into why I struggle to retain information sometimes and why I often need more time than others to ponder over information before responding. I think this scale can be the most revealing part of the evaluation into how your mind processes information in its own unique way.
