Hi fellas, I’m 15-year-old suffering from ADHD. My mother diagnosed this disorder in me when I was probably 4-year-old. She started recognizing symptoms of ADHD from my behavior. She told me that I was becoming weird day by day. Then she took me to the doctor where he diagnosed this disorder by doing different tests. At that time, I was too young I didn’t even know what does ADHD stands for. But my mother took good care of me during my childhood and she is doing it till now. The doctor prescribed me 0.5 mg risperidone for the betterment of my condition which was getting worse by the passage of time. And this medicine worked a lot for me I got better by taking it. I took 0.5 mg risperidone for a long-time period and it was like an addiction for me. After the passage of time that medicine stop working for my condition. I behaved like a psychopath then I discussed it with my doctor he said that according to my age I have to change my medicine. So, our family doc prescribed me Adderall 30 mg. I am taking it but there is no improvement in my behavior and condition I am very worried about it.

My prescription changed - no improvement to my ADHD
I have never heard of Respiridone being used for ADHD. Off the top of my head, I know it is used for schizophrenia and psychosis. I’m not saying you have those conditions, though. I’m not a doctor, just sharing my experience. If my ADHD symptoms aren’t alleviated somewhat after being on a certain medication for a bit, I tell my psych and we come up with a solution. Hope you are well.
Risperidone belongs to a class of drugs called atypical antipsychotics. It works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain.
Is your Dr using the Adderall with the Risperdone? This works in my so He is 150 pounds and takes 25 mg Adderall XR and 1 mg Risperdone in the morning and 1 mg Risperdone in the afternoon. He will also take a 10 mg Adderall IR in the afternoon if he needs it for work or studying. I would find a dr who specializes in ADHD treatment
