My now adult daughter is finally diagnosed with AuADHD. But she and I really struggled with the educational system of the 1990's and, to be honest, with each other. I decided to write a short book from a kid's point of view. "The Lemon Golf Diary" is about the struggles of being undiagnosed while constantly being told to Try Harder. It's mostly true and seems to be filling a needed niche. AIDE Canada, a community autistic resource has ordered three books for their lending library. Turns out there isn't much of anything in neurodivergent fiction and happily it's being welcomed with five star reviews. If anyone would like a copy, it's free on Kindle Unlimited AND I would love to offer a free hard copy if anyone wants to give me a way to send it. We all need to share perspectives on what happens when both parent and child are trying as hard as they can and it's never enough.
