I have a son age 7 who was just diagnosed with mixed type ADHD which is not a surprise but really a relief to have that confirmed.I'm finding the process of getting the support in school with an IEP quite challenging and frustrating.
I'm also looking for ideas on anything that has helped anyone help their child be less reactive and aggressive when feeling disregulated in the public school setting.
I know I'm not alone in this journey!

welcome! My stepkid was causing room clears in k/1. He was put in a special education classroom u Tim 5th grade when he was transitioned back. It was so he could non mainstream in middle school. He learned lots of coping strategies and is doing well in 9th grade.
Thank you for contacting CHADD National Resource on ADHD. For his IEP, there are a few organizations that can help with the process, or even knowing his educational rights. Here are two organizations you can reach out to, copaa.org/search/custom.asp... and picnh.org/ Here is Wrights law link to help you know your rights and what you can request. wrightslaw.com/
