ADHD, sometimes amusing

No questions or seriousness with this post I just had such a pointed ADHD moment with my 10 yr old daughter last night. We have 40 acres with a path around it. We were all in the garden looking for my glasses and daughter, who joined girls on the run, takes off to run the path. It starts getting dark and she hasn't returned nor can we see her. So our other 2 kids and I grab electric scooters and take off on the path to find her, yelling all the way. Finally I find her sitting on the ground with a rock on the very furthest point of the path. I asked her what she was doing and why she didn't respond when we were yelling for her. She says, "I was just so distracted by this rock Mom. Look!". I had to laugh. I gave her my scooter, rounded up the other kids and we headed back to the house, rock safely tucked in her pocket.

Lol. Thanks for the reminder that sometimes the only reasonable response is just to chuckle.
