Hello! I’m a mom seeking local resources and support for my son. Anyone have references for Central NJ?

While you're looking for something local, do what you can to educate yourself and your son. Driven to distraction is good, as is the REDICULOUSLY long video by Barkley (look up Barkley ADHD parents on YouTube)
There are books written specifically for kids to learn about ADHD, and there may even be benefit to him watching something like the channel "how to ADHD" on YouTube.
To find local resources, I'd start with looking up a mental health peer support centre (new jersey has a bunch) since I tend to have learned more about the system and resources from people who have been through the system than I have from the workers. You could also ask your family doc, the school, the school board, the parents'association (if there is one), and other parents if you know any (if you're connected to a doctor for ADHD treatment, strike up a conversation with other parents in the waiting room; likely you'll find some in a similar boat.
Hope this helps!
