Hi everyone. My name is Karen. I am new to the community. Thank you for accepting my request to join. My son is 8 years old and somewhere on the spectrum. I hope i can learn from all of you as to what i can do for him at home while i get him going to doctors. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you very much.

Welcome, it’s not a club you ever want to be a part of but once you are, you’re never alone and you will always have someone on your side willing to go the extra mile. Special needs parent’s are extraordinary. There’s a poem about Special Needs parent’s that you may be able to find online that says it better.

My pieces of advice are Self Care, parent training and research. Easter seals is a great free resource. KIT
