My 8yr old grandson is having a really rough time with ADHD and aggression. I have seen it first hand, and he hates when this happens. There are times that he has no memory of the event, it seems almost seizure-ish in nature. He has been through a laundry list of meds, none of which appear to be helping. He has caring professional parents that are in search of something that will help. I'm the grandma who passed on the ADHD gene, sigh.

ADHD with aggression, any thoughts or help?
Has he been in behavior therapy. This can help both your grandson and you.
Grandmas love their grandsons! Tell his parents to look into broad spectrum mincronutrients. I am spreading the word! My son showed a lot of aggression. He ended up being kicked out of the aftercare program at school and was just diagnosed ED. This has now landed him at a school 30 minutes from home and in a self-contained classroom. I didn’t know what to do because the psychiatrist wanted me to just put him on Prozac. My son is 7 and I couldn’t do it. That is when she recommended broad spectrum micronutrients. There are two companies...Hardy Nutritionals and True Hope. My son has had great success with the Hardy Nutritionals Daily Essential Nutrients. He had zero aggressive episodes the last three weeks at his home school. Unfortunately his history of behavior couldn’t be unrung and they still sent him to the new school. He is now on his fourth week at the new school and now aggressive episodes. We did not see results until he hit the half dosage mark. Wishing you the best!
That sounds like my son. He gets so angry over such little things, and he lashes out, hitting and kicking people, throwing desks and chairs. He’s 6 right now, and takes 6 different medications. He was on Vayarin for several years, and they stopped making for sale in the US. We’re trying a couple different replacements, but have yet to find something that gets him back to where he was. It’s so frustrating. He’s also in a special class with only a few other kids, and yet even that hasn’t really helped (other that keeping him at school instead of being suspended). I don’t have any advice as we are going through the same things.
Thank you all so much, his mom has ordered micronutrients, so keeping fingers crossed for everyone. Other than the rips episodes of aggression he's the most incredible, kind and thoughtful kid ever. Still listening for any other help, anything that might help.
